Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Education

Looking for a career that combines the person-to-person experience of teaching with caring for and treating animals? The Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Education (CVEd) program at Lincoln Memorial University is just what you've been looking for! Not only is LMU's CVEd program offered 100% online, but it's asynchronous, ensuring that you have the freedom to complete assignments on a flexible schedule that works for you.

In this program, conducted jointly with the Masters of Veterinary Education (MVEd) program, you will build a foundation of educational theories and instructional methodology. Whether you currently have a teaching position in a DVM or LVT program or are moving into a veterinary educational position, this program will provide you with knowledge and tools to apply in a lecture or educational lab setting.

Our online certificate program is designed specifically for working professionals such as veterinary techs, practicing doctors of veterinary medicine (DVMs), or full-time teaching faculty. All you will need is reliable internet access to attend classes and complete your coursework. If you are enrolled as a full-time student, the program can be completed in two semesters, though it must be completed within a maximum of four. You will complete the certificate with a minimum of 14 credit hours of coursework but may take up to 20 hours, expanding your learning and skillset.
